Exactmer is a rapidly growing life sciences company, with the mission to manufacture exact polymeric pharmaceuticals, enabling advanced therapies to be provided to all patients in need. Using our patented platform technology Nanostar Sieving, we create exquisite synthetic and biological polymers, including oligonucleotides, mono-disperse polyethylene glycols (PEGs) and ADC linkers.

London-based, we are entering a rapid phase of growth and are seeking a self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individual to join our Business team. We are interested in outstanding individuals keen to work on creating long-term value for the business and ready to grow their skills and experience as the company grows.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Research grant coordination
  • Provide administrative support for research grants and other development projects carried out within the company
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings with sponsors
  • Prepare financial/commercial presentations and support the technical teams in the preparation of project reports/presentations
  • Input into and attend project meetings with technical teams and sponsors
  • Monitor spending on grants and across the company’s operations
  • Coordinate the preparation and signature of timesheets across the company
  • Prepare grant claims and support the preparation of financial audits
  • Submit grant documentation to sponsors
  • Monitor deadlines on research grants
  • Support the BD team with preparation and submission of new grant applications
  1. Marketing
  • Undertake communication and engagement with the public, create and disseminate marketing materials for the company using website and other social media platforms
  • Manage company marketing channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Website)
  • Support development of marketing campaigns and content creation (e.g. webinars, press releases)
  • Liaise with external marketing agency for website management and SEO
  1. Organisation and Logistics
  • Support to the BD team, including but not limited to: ad-hoc preparation of materials for investors
  • Support teams with purchasing, including but not limited to: ad-hoc payment of proforma invoices, setting up of new suppliers and users in Approval Max/Xero software platforms, completing credit application forms and account application forms for new suppliers, support with purchase orders, ad-hoc submission of invoices, purchasing of IT equipment
  • Perform miscellaneous work to support the company operations, including but not limited to: renewal of licences, facility matters, ad-hoc right to work checks and VISA applications for new staff members, advertising of company vacancies, liaising with external IT services company
  • Plan and coordinate company events


  1. Professional experience and technical skills:
  • University degree (preferred subjects are business, finance, project management) or at least three years of professional experience in an administrative or operational role
  • Experience with documentation management and Excel spreadsheets for finance
  • Experience in preparing grant claims and/or project management is a plus
  • Experience with accounting and/or financial reporting support is a plus
  • Experience working in a start-up/scale-up environment is a plus

  • Proactive approach/mindset, with the ability to suggest and implement improvements to existing ways of working
  • Comfortable to interact with staff at all levels and external partners
  • Willingness to grow professionally and develop the role by taking additional responsibilities
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in chemistry and chemical engineering is a plus
  • Interest in the market landscape of advanced medicine manufacturing is a plus
