Graduate Chemical Engineer/Engineer – London Based
Exactmer is a fast-growing Life Sciences company dedicated to producing precise polymeric molecules using our patented Nanostar Sieving Technology. Using this disruptive new platform, we are creating synthetic and biological polymers, such as oligonucleotides, monodispersed polyethylene glycols (PEGs), ADC linkers, and peptides. Helping to define a new standard for polymer derived medicines while bringing R&D into full scale production.
We are in a phase of rapid growth and have opportunities for graduate chemical engineers/chemical engineers to join our team. Nanostar Sieving Technology is underpinned by tightly controlled polymeric membranes, the successful candidate will focus on the fabrication of such membranes at our in-house facility. We are searching for self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individuals who are interested in gaining experience and growing their skills in Life Sciences research, development, and manufacturing.
You will be based in the company’s new facilities in LondonEast Business & Technical Park in Dagenham East. Primary duties will include a variety of lab-based and small-scale lean manufacturing tasks, these include but not limited to membrane filter and cartridge production, stock management, quality control, HSE assessment, documentation and tests for pharmaceutical application of the filters, and equipment maintenance. The candidate would also be contributing to product research and development, production process scale-up, production continual improvement, and project management. The candidate should demonstrate practical and safe working knowledge and behaviour, with the ability to prioritise work under supervised direction. As the company is undergoing rapid growth, a degree of flexibility will be required, but the candidate will be expected to be based at our working facilities in London and work standard office hours.
Candidates will ideally have an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering or relevant field. Some technical/chemical experience (2+ years) would be beneficial, and the candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals.
