Chemical Engineer with Research and Development Experience
Exactmer is a start-up dedicated to producing precision polymeric molecules with our patented Nanostar Sieving Technology. Using this disruptive new platform, we are creating exquisite synthetic and biological polymers, including oligonucleotides and mono-disperse polyethylene glycols (PEGs), ADC linkers, peptides and more…most of them bound for use in medicines that enhance patient quality of life.
We are a young, diverse team of around 35 people. London-based, we are in a rapid phase of growth and are searching for a self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individual to join our team. We are seeking an outstanding engineer to work as part of a team delivering innovative technologies for isolation and purification of our products.

You will develop systems including extraction, chromatography and filtration through lab-based experimentation and work to optimise the overall process performance of production technology. Excellent record-keeping and adherence to safety codes and protocols are essential. Overall, you need to be flexible and ready to grow your skills and experience as the company grows and our technology evolves.
Candidates should have experience of chemical engineering research and development for example obtained through a PhD, with an interest in separation and purification, be competent with computer-based tools, and be ready to mix this with lab-based work. You should have a desire to learn fast and tackle many different aspects of creating a new technology and new products. Experience would be a bonus and we are open to candidates at different career stages.
