Exactmer is a new start-up, dedicated to producing precision polymeric molecules with our patented Nanostar Sieving Technology. Using this disruptive new platform, we are creating exquisite synthetic and biological polymers, including mono-disperse polyethylene glycols (PEGs), oligonucleotides, peptides and more……..most of them bound for use in medicines that enhance patient quality of life.

London-based, we are entering a rapid phase of growth and are seeking a self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individual to join our Business team. We are interested in outstanding individuals keen to work on creating long-term value for the business and ready to grow their skills and experience as the company grows.

You will work on a wide range of customer- and sponsor-facing business development challenges, including preparing research grant proposals and claims, supporting the operations of R&D projects, updating the company financial and business plans, interacting with suppliers and customers, developing marketing materials and managing communications and web presence. You will work with the team on establishing the processes required for the efficient functioning of the business and you will support the company with the recruitment of new team members.

Candidates should ideally have a scientific or engineering background, including some research experience, with an ambition to develop and use business and operational skills, and a desire to learn fast about many different aspects of a start-up. Experience would be a bonus and we are open to candidates at different career stages. We offer an attractive remuneration package.

We are seeking an outstanding chemical engineer to work on creating long-term value for the business through developing our Nanostar Synthesizer technology.

You will deal with designing, building and operating nanostar synthesizers, from lab scale through pilot scale, including developing new membranes for separation, synthesizer equipment design and procurement, synthesizer automation and control, and operating of lab and pilot plant units. Excellent record-keeping and adherence to safety codes and protocols are essential. Overall, you need to be flexible and ready to grow your skills and experience as the company grows and our technology evolves.

Candidates should have a chemical engineering PhD or related qualification with substantial experimental experience, and a desire to learn fast and tackle many different aspects of creating a new technology and new products. London-based, we are in a rapid phase of growth and are searching for a self-starting, dynamic, flexible and committed individual to join our team. We are seeking an outstanding process chemist to work on creating long-term value for the business through delivering high quality laboratory and kilo scale chemistry.

You will work on a wide range of chemistries, across synthesis, purification and analysis of biopolymers including oligonucleotides, and synthetic polymers including PEGs. You will deal with preparation of monomers for iterative synthetic processes; synthesis through repeated coupling and deprotection reactions, and membrane separation. Analysis using UPLC-MS, HPLC, NMR and other techniques is a significant part of your responsibilities. Excellent record-keeping and adherence to safety codes and protocols are essential. Overall, you need to be flexible and ready to grow your skills and experience as the company grows and our technology evolves.

We are seeking an outstanding analytical chemist to work on creating long-term value for the business through delivering high quality analysis of oligonucleotides and other polymers.

You will deal with the purification and analysis of oligonucleotides, including chemically modified oligos, PEGs and other polymers using UPLC-MS, HPLC, NMR and other techniques, including developing new methods for ever-improving detailed analysis. Excellent record-keeping and adherence to safety codes and protocols are essential. Overall, you need to be flexible and ready to grow your skills and experience as the company grows and our technology evolves.

Candidates should have a chemistry PhD with substantial analytical experience, and a desire to learn fast and tackle many different aspects of creating a new technology and new products.
